Where to stay:

The Garland

The Garland is great for several reasons. It’s retro, it’s nice without being stuffy, it has a really great bar and restaurant called The Front Yard, a very pretty pool area, it’s directly adjacent to Universal Studios, and also— perhaps most importantly— it’s a ten minute walk to The Brady Bunch house.

We’ve blocked rooms with the hotel, reflected in a lovely discount on King or Two Queen rooms, and available through the link below.

Notably, we will have buses on a staggered schedule going to and from The Garland to and from Inn of the Seventh Ray the evening of the wedding (times of departure TBA).

How to get to Los Angeles:

Airports

The airport closest to The Garland Hotel and The Inn of the Seventh Ray is Bob Hope Burbank Airport. It’s pretty great for many reasons, one of which is that the baggage claim is outside. Groovy, isn’t it?

However, it’s a small-ish airport and thus has less flights available. If your preferred airline or time of departure is not available, there is always LAX. It’s important to note that LAX is the worst airport in the entire world and has been under construction since the Jurassic Era, when airplanes were used to fight pterodactyls, with hopes of completion by year 4022 (assuming Earth is still around, tbd).

That being said, it’s huge and if you can’t find a flight you like, it probably doesn’t exist.
